英文课堂故事续写作业
前文梗概：一位国王在一次巡游中对一位少女一见钟情，将其娶为皇后，不料该少女实为一位女巫，她对国王施下沉睡的咒语后窃取了国家。邻国国王听闻消息后前往讨伐女巫，然而不敌被杀。死去的国王的儿子Ferdinand十分忧愁。然而当Ferdinand在王宫池塘边叹气之时，一只青蛙从池里蹦了出来。
The frog tells Ferdinand to reach the top of Mount. Tikangs, and he will find the way of killing the witch.
When he climbs the mountain, he meets a girl. At first he thinks that she is sent by the witch who wants to kill him, so he fights against her. But then he finds he is wrong. The girl, whose name is Rainy, is the daughter of a farmer. Her parents were killed by the witch and she hears that she can kill the witch if she reaches the top of the mountain.
They climb the mountain together and go through many difficulties, such as walking through an invisible bridge across a deep valley and fighting against the beasts. Finally they reach the top.
There is a temple on the top, whose door is locked. The frog, who follows Ferdinand all the way, uses his magical power to unlock it. They enter the temple and there are two subtle knives. The frog tells them that as long as they carry the knives with them, they won’t be affected by the witch’s spell.
Ferdinand says goodbye to Rainy, who wants to go to organize the people who are against the witch. The frog says it believes they will meet again when the witch is killed.
Ferdinand pretends to be an ordinary person and joins the witch’s army. He manages to become a guard of the palace. He tries to find a chance to kill the witch, and manages to draw a map of the palace and gives it to Rainy’s friend.
Finally, Rainy leads her army to attack the palace. Ferdinand takes his knife and finds the witch in confusion. But when he is going to kill the wicked woman, he finds Rainy is caught by her. The witch asks him to put his knife down, or she will kill Rainy.
Ferdinand puts down his knife. At that moment, the frog jumps out of his pocket and says, “well, wait a moment. Let me tell a story.”
“About 200 years ago, there was a princess who fell in love with a poor young man. But the old king didn’t allow her to marry him and put a spell on the man, making him become a frog. The princess was very sad and tried to take revenge on the whole kingdom. The frog has tried to comfort her and asked her to stop, but he failed.”
All people are listening to the frog carefully and silently. They don’t notice that the frog uses all its strength to pick up Ferdinand’s knife and comes up to the witch. All of a sudden, it sends Ferdinand’s knife into the witch’s heart, and the kills itself. Before it dies, it says, “I wish I could find you in the heaven, where ... where you are still the little princess in my heart.”
The wicked witch dies. Ferdinand and Rainy wake the king up, and the land returns to peace. Ferdinand marries Rainy, and they live a happy life.
